Tackling Sacroiliac & Pelvic Girdle Dysfunction
7.5 hr CE
This 1-day, live webinar 7.5 hour course provides an excellent foundation for understanding, effectively diagnosing and treating people with sacroiliac dysfunction and pelvic girdle pain. Literature is reviewed and an evidenced based approached is emphasized. Topics include anatomy and biomechanics, diagnosis including special tests literature review, current recommendations, pregnancy and postpartum considerations and interventions. The Pelvic Girdle Musculoskeletal Method ℠ (PGM Method℠), developed by Deborah Riczo, is presented and evidence to support this simplified yet comprehensive approach is reviewed and practiced with dedicated lab time. Specific self-pelvic balancing exercises are introduced and practiced, and patient handouts are included. Course consists of lecture, group discussion/activities, and video (including specific patient video) and is interactive in nature. You will develop quick screening tools that are clinically applicable and a simplified treatment approach for sacroiliac/pelvic girdle dysfunction that can be readily used “on Monday morning” after the course.
